News about HD Forest Germany

HedeDanmark has been committed to nature and forestry for more than 150 years. During the years, HedeDanmark has become one of the biggest and leading forestry, landscaping and trading companies in Denmark. Every day we are trying to find ways for improvements, to offer high-quality services to our existing and future clients in different regions. This also includes expansion to other countries, to be closer to our clients and have a better understanding of local markets and the environment. Today, we are happy to introduce another subsidiary company of HedeDanmark in Germany, in Brandenburg.

The office in Germany is managed by two excellent forestry specialists; Martin Bösselmann and Stephan Fischer. Both have years of experience and knowledge to share with our clients and colleagues. Martin was born in Germany and during his studies in forest engineering he moved to Denmark. He started his career more than 20 years ago in Hedeselskabet and since 2010 has been a regional manager at the forest department in HedeDanmark. Stephan joined us in 2022 and since then he has been part of the team in Germany. He studied forestry in Göttingen and has more than 25 years of experience.

HD Forest Germany started operating in November 2022 and is growing fast. The individual goals and wishes of our clients are our main objective. In accordance with this we are offering full service, starting with forest management (cleaning, planting etc.) and ending with harvesting works and logistics and with selling the material. All the work tasks are organised in co-operation with HD Silva (another of HedeDanmarks’s subsidiaries – a Danish-German purchasing and logistics organisation for round wood and wood chips. HD Silva supports the timber industry in outsourcing key purchasing and logistics functions).

We are certified by PEFC and FSC®. This means that all the work is carried out in accordance with PEFC and FSC® requirements – we care about sustainability! Of course, all work is organised and implemented in accordance with the clients’ plans and wishes.
